House Prices Recover

Posted by nexvucapital on November 20, 2012

Under the Clinton administration, the dream was for every American to own a home. Despite their ignorance of the market those with the will and the political power executed on a multi-year plan to enable every American to own a home. The plan worked (generally) by modifying the market forces that historically had only allowed some to own homes and the balance to rent. When the market forces were allowed to return the dream ended. For several years now the inventory of homes built generally for those who had been traditionally renters has gone back to rental housing. The inventory of unsold homes has declined and market forces are now raising house prices as market forces have been allowed to take American home ownership back to where it was before the politicians interfered.
